From Friday, June 3 through Friday, June 10, Saginaw-Shiawassee Habitat for Humanity will be working in the St. Stephen’s area to revitalize the neighborhood. This program brings together hundreds of volunteers from across the Great Lakes Bay Region rehabbing and restoring a number of homes in this area.
Volunteers are needed for unskilled and skilled construction, painting, weatherizing homes and more. Tasks include daily shifts are from 7:30-12pm and 12:30pm-5:00pm.
Neighborhood Revitalization helps homeowners whose income is below 80% of the Area Median Income to preserve and improve their homes with pride and dignity as they contribute their time and pay for the cost of materials. The Dow Chemical Company has been a longstanding partner with Saginaw-Shiawassee Habitat for Humanity, having provided thousands of volunteers over the years.
